At Weeknight Cook, we believe that from little things, big things grow—especially when it comes to family traditions and shared moments. Our Father’s Day competition truly embodied that sentiment, as you shared your cherished memories of fathers and father figures who’ve helped shape your lives.


We’re excited to announce the winner and two inspiring runners-up from our competition, each sharing stories that remind us of the beauty in life’s little moments!

A Big Congratulations to Kate W, Our Father’s Day Winner!


Our grand prize winner, Kate W, captured the essence of family across generations. Her story shows how small, everyday moments grow into cherished memories:


“I don't have a 'then and now' photo of our boys because they are still little... but we did this instead. Ben and his brother Troy with their Dad, and now with our boys Arlen and Parker with their Papa (Ben's Dad)."


Kate’s heartwarming entry has won her a $250 HIM gift card, and it reminds us all that the roots of family run deep, creating a legacy of love that grows with each new generation.



Celebrating Our First Runner-Up: Megan W!


Our first runner-up, Megan W, touched our hearts with a beautiful moment between her sons and their father:

Finally, we’re excited to announce Melita D, as our second runner-up! Her story, full of nostalgia and humour, shows that even the little things—like favourite clothes and shared kitchen moments—can grow into family traditions:


“Some things don't change! Same people... same kitchen... same mixmaster and same boxer shorts! Not sure which one impresses him more – that he can still fit into the same boxers or that he can still lift up and carry his son on his shoulders!"

Celebrating Success: High School Fundraiser Raises $800 for Cambodia Trip We are thrilled to share the fantastic success of our recent fundraiser at Dalby High School! Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our wonderful community, we raised an impressive $800. This amount will help support 14 enthusiastic students and 3 dedicated teachers as they prepare for a life-changing journey to Cambodia in 2026. A Journey with Purpose During their two-week stay in Cambodia, these students and teachers will embark on meaningful community projects. Their mission includes teaching English and setting up a new classroom, ensuring a lasting impact on the local community. It's a unique opportunity for them to make a difference and learn valuable life lessons along the way. Teamwork Makes the Dream Work The fundraiser was a heartwarming display of teamwork and community spirit. Students stepped up to support each other and the cause, demonstrating incredible energy and commitment. Their efforts not only brought the community together but also highlighted the power of working towards a common goal.
